Victoria is currently Senior Director of the Cambridge-GSK Alliance, a strategic partnership between the University of Cambridge and Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. As business lead for the Alliance, Victoria has delivered a portfolio of more than 100 collaborative projects over 5 years. The Alliance funds and enables innovative technology and medicine focused research projects across GSK’s R&D areas of interest. Victoria also holds a position at KCL as visiting Director of Strategic Industry Partnerships with a focus on building a strategic relationship between GSK and KCL/KHP, centred on our complementary strengths and capabilities in the field of Cell and Gene Therapy. Over her 23-year career at GSK and its legacy companies Victoria has held various leadership roles chiefly in the field of Biopharmaceutical R&D with responsibilities for delivering the CMC packages (manufacturing process, product and regulatory submissions) for a range of products including Monoclonal Antibodies, Live Virus Vaccines and DNA Vaccines. She has also held roles in Project and Portfolio Management and held a central role in establishing the GSK-Crick Institute ‘LinkLabs’, a unique embedded partnership model. Victoria has a strong belief that ‘people work with people they like and trust’ and hence focuses on developing mutually valuable relationships with individuals as the critical first step in any collaboration.
