Christopher James Langmead, Ph.D. Scientific Executive Director at Amgen

Dr. Langmead leads Amgen’s efforts in the development and application of AI/ML-based methods for the discovery and optimization of biologics. His team at Amgen is involved with all stages of the pipeline. Prior to joining Amgen, Dr. Langmead was a tenured faculty member in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University where his research concerned the development of Generative AI methods for the design of proteins and algorithms for automatic scientific discovery.
