Your presentation

Your presentation should be no longer than 15 minutes; this time does not include questions. Each presentation will sit within a module featuring 2 or 3 speakers. Questions to all speakers in the session will be answered in a 15-20 minute panel discussion at the end of the presentations.

You will be able to see the timing of your session on the Agenda Tab of the event website. Please be aware that timings might still move slightly as we finalise each talk.

Your slides: If you are using slides, we would like a copy by 23rd September. We will make slides available to delegates after the Congress unless you ask us not to. A 16:9 ratio will keep all presentations consistent. PowerPoint and PDF formats are preferred for your slides. If you would like to add the event logo to your slides, you can download it here.

Guidance on fonts and text size:

  • Slide titles: 44–60 pt
  • Main content text: 28–36 pt
  • Captions or labels: Minimum 24 pt
  • Charts/graphs text: 24–28 pt (larger for axis titles)
Additional tips:
  • Use sans-serif fonts like Arial, Calibri, or Helvetica — they stay clear at a distance.
  • Keep 6–8 words per line max and no more than 6 lines per slide for clarity.
  • High contrast colors (e.g., white text on dark background) work best in big rooms.
  • Avoid thin or script fonts — they’re hard to read from the back.

While presenting you will be able to see your slides on the “comfort monitor” at the front of the stage. A clicker and pointer will be provided.
